The best rank tracker is the one whose keyword unit, update frequency and seat rules match your workload, and no single tool wins on all three. For large daily keyword sets, AccuRanker and Advanced Web Ranking are dedicated trackers with unlimited users. For the lowest entry price we could read in US dollars, Pro Rank Tracker starts at $99 a month. SE Ranking fits when you want rank tracking, site audits and client reports in one subscription, and Ahrefs fits if you already pay for it and weekly updates are enough.

Best SEO rank tracker for agencies: compare the keyword units first

Vendors count keywords differently, so plan sizes are not directly comparable. A mistake to avoid is reading every allowance as the same unit.

• SE Ranking counts keyword times search engine. Its pricing page gives the example of 30 keywords in 2 engines using 60 of the limit.
• Advanced Web Ranking counts one unit as one weekly check on one engine and one device to a depth of 50 results. Its examples show daily tracking using 7 times the units and a depth of 100 results using double. Pro's 7,000 units therefore cover 1,000 keywords daily at 50 results, or 500 at 100 results.
• Pro Rank Tracker counts one term per keyword, URL and engine, and each extra location or device is another term.

Seats matter as much as keywords for an agency. AccuRanker and Advanced Web Ranking both state that their plans include unlimited users. SE Ranking Core includes one manager seat and Growth includes three, with extra seats sold separately.

• Agency tracking thousands of keywords daily with many users: AccuRanker, which starts at 2,000 keywords, or Advanced Web Ranking.
• Freelancer who wants the lowest dollar entry price in this table: Pro Rank Tracker Starter at $99 a month for 1,000 terms.
• Team that already pays for a suite: use the tracker you have. Ahrefs Lite includes 750 keywords with weekly updates, and Semrush's SEO plan includes 500 keywords daily.
• Team that also needs audits and client reports: SE Ranking Core.

Where SE Ranking fits as a rank tracker and where it does not

SE Ranking Core pairs 2,000 daily keywords with 250,000 audit pages a month, 10 Report Builder reports and 100 AI prompts a day, so it suits a consultant or small agency that wants to replace several tools. It is the wrong choice if rank tracking is the only job and many people need full access, because Core has one manager seat. AccuRanker or Advanced Web Ranking is the more direct fit there. It is also not the pick for a team that needs more than 5,000 daily keywords, the Growth limit, unless it buys extra keywords or moves to Enterprise.
