SE Ranking vs Moz Pro: the short answer for agencies and single sites
Choose Moz Pro if you track one to three websites, are happy with weekly rank updates and report in Domain Authority. Choose SE Ranking if you manage client sites that need daily checks, deeper result tracking and local tools in the same plan. Moz Pro starts at $49 a month on monthly billing for one site. SE Ranking's entry plan, Core, covers 10 projects.
All figures come from each vendor's own pricing and help pages as read on 3 October 2026. Neither product was tested hands-on.

SE Ranking's pricing page showed euros to the computer used for this research, so no dollar price is quoted. It advertises annual billing at 20% below monthly. Check the live figure through the SE Ranking pricing guide. On yearly billing, Moz charges $950 for the first year of Standard and $1,719 for Medium.
The keyword units differ. SE Ranking counts each keyword and search engine pair. Moz counts keywords, and its pricing FAQ says a campaign collects data across up to four search engines per tracked keyword. Compare your own list in both units before deciding.
What SE Ranking does that Moz Pro does not, and the reverse
- SE Ranking: daily rank checks. Moz's help hub says campaign rankings update once a week.
- SE Ranking: top 100 tracking. Its plans table lists Google top 100 tracking. Moz's help hub says Moz Pro tracks the top 20 positions and shows anything lower as 21+.
- SE Ranking: local tools in the plan. Core lists 3 locations and 1,500 local and map keywords. Moz's pricing FAQ says Moz Local is a separate product. See local rank tracking in SE Ranking.
- Moz: Domain Authority. Domain Authority, Page Authority and Brand Authority are Moz's own metrics, and MozBar Premium is included on every Moz Pro plan.
- Moz: a single-site plan. Starter exists for one website and 50 keywords. The smallest plan on SE Ranking's pricing page is Core.
Who should choose Moz Pro and who should choose SE Ranking
- One website, up to 50 keywords: Moz Pro Starter at $49 a month billed monthly. Nine of Core's 10 projects would go unused.
- Two or three sites, weekly reporting, clients who ask for Domain Authority: Moz Pro Standard at $99 a month billed monthly. Note that branded reports and report templates start on Medium.
- Ten client sites: Moz Pro Medium matches Core on site count at $179 a month billed monthly, with 2 seats and weekly updates. Core offers 1 seat with daily updates. Extra Moz seats are $49 a month each.
- Agencies that need daily positions, results beyond the top 20, or local tracking in one subscription: SE Ranking. Read the Core plan guide for the limits.
What switching from Moz Pro to SE Ranking involves
- Export each campaign's rankings to CSV in Moz and save your keyword lists.
- Start the SE Ranking trial, which runs 14 days without a credit card, and create one project per Moz campaign.
- Add keywords, search engines and locations, and count units as you go: one keyword on two search engines uses two.
- Expect differences. SE Ranking checks daily and Moz weekly, so compare positions on the dates Moz updated.
- Cancel Moz last. Warning: canceling stops future renewals, and this page could not confirm how long campaign history stays available afterward, so keep your exports.
SE Ranking's pricing FAQ says projects and ranking history can be imported with built-in migration options, and that assisted migration is free with an annual subscription. Neither that page nor SE Ranking's migration page names Moz, so plan on a CSV import or confirm with support. If you are still on Moz's trial, its help hub says the trial covers the Medium plan on monthly billing, needs a credit card, and should be canceled at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid a charge.
