SE Ranking vs Ubersuggest: which one fits your workload
Choose Ubersuggest if you look after one website and track about 125 keywords. Choose SE Ranking if you manage several client sites and need daily rank checks, an API and scheduled client reports. The entry plans are built for different jobs: Ubersuggest Individual covers 1 project, SE Ranking Core covers 10.
Everything below comes from each vendor's own pages as read on 3 October 2026. Neither product was tested hands-on.

On price: no dollar figure is quoted for either tool. The Ubersuggest price shown depends on the visitor's region, so check the current price on its pricing page. SE Ranking's page showed euros to the computer used for this research. Use this site's SE Ranking pricing guide to check it.
SE Ranking's own pages disagree on API credits: the pricing table lists 25,000 a month on Core and 100,000 on Growth, but its Rank Tracker page gives 100,000 for Core and 300,000 for Growth, so confirm the allowance before relying on it.
What Ubersuggest does that SE Ranking does not, and the reverse
- Only Ubersuggest: a lifetime plan paid once. Its FAQ says lifetime purchases are final and non-refundable. SE Ranking's pricing page offers monthly and annual billing only.
- Only SE Ranking: an API with monthly credits in the entry plan. Ubersuggest's FAQ says it has no API access plans at the moment.
- Listed by SE Ranking, absent from Ubersuggest's pricing table: 3 local marketing locations in the plan and a white-label Agency Pack add-on for annual subscribers.
One point is unclear on Ubersuggest's side. Its pricing table lists rank tracking as weekly, while a Neil Patel article updated on 8 July 2026 describes daily tracking. Confirm the frequency during the trial. SE Ranking's help center states that standard rankings are checked once a day and that the frequency cannot be changed.
Who should pick Ubersuggest and who should pick SE Ranking
- Solo site owner: Ubersuggest Individual. One project, 125 tracked keywords and a weekly 1,000-page audit match a single small site.
- Small business with up to 7 sites: Ubersuggest Business covers 7 projects at 150 keywords each. The keyword cap is per project, so one large site cannot borrow from the others without paid add-ons.
- Agency with up to 15 sites: Ubersuggest Enterprise covers 15 projects at 300 keywords each, 4,500 in total if every project is full. SE Ranking Growth covers 30 projects with 5,000 daily units that can be split across projects in any proportion.
- Agency that reports to clients: SE Ranking. Scheduled Report Builder reports, guest links on Growth and the Agency Pack are the documented reasons.
What switching from Ubersuggest to SE Ranking involves
- Export or copy your tracked keyword list from Ubersuggest. The pricing table caps exports at 2,000 rows per report on Individual.
- Start the SE Ranking trial, create one project per site and add the keywords with the search engines and locations you need.
- Count the units before adding everything. A keyword on Google desktop and Google mobile uses two units in SE Ranking.
- Run both tools side by side for at least one Ubersuggest update so you can compare positions on the same dates.
- Cancel Ubersuggest last. Warning: export what you need before you cancel, because this page could not confirm which data stays available on the free account, and a lifetime purchase is not refunded.
SE Ranking's pricing FAQ says projects and ranking history can be imported with built-in migration options and that assisted migration is free with an annual subscription. Its migration page names Semrush, Ahrefs, AgencyAnalytics, AccuRanker and Serpstat, plus CSV files. Ubersuggest is not named, so plan on a CSV import or ask support. For the first project, follow the Rank Tracker setup guide.
