One project per site: how rank trackers handle several websites

To track rankings for multiple sites at once, give each site its own project in a rank tracker and let every project draw on one shared keyword budget. A project is one website with its own keyword rankings, competitors and audits. SE Ranking ties each project to a single domain or URL and suggests separate projects for different countries or regions.

Trackers cap the number of sites differently:

• Moz Pro Standard: 3 tracked sites.
• Serpstat Individual: 5 projects; Team: unlimited projects.
• Nightwatch Starter: 5 websites.
• Advanced Web Ranking: unlimited projects on all plans.

Split one keyword budget across the sites

SE Ranking counts each keyword on each search engine as one pair, and the same keyword in two projects counts once in each project. Its own example: 100 keywords on two search engines in two locations use 400 units, so five such sites use 2,000, the whole Core allowance of 2,000 pairs a day.

All projects share one account-wide pool, in any proportion. A deactivated project still counts against it until its keywords are deleted. Other trackers count differently: Pro Rank Tracker counts a term as one keyword for one URL on one search engine, and Advanced Web Ranking sizes its plans for weekly updates, so a keyword checked daily uses 7 units.

Set engines, locations and competitors per project

Whatever the tracker, give each site its own search engines, locations, keywords and competitors.

1. In SE Ranking, add the site as a new project and choose its search engines and regions during setup: Google, Google Mobile, Yahoo!, Bing or YouTube, in any city or postal code. The default search range is the top 100 results, and subdomains can be checked in the same project.
2. Open the project's Keywords tab, choose Import keywords, then Import from a CSV file. The columns are Keyword, plus optional Group and Target URL; a target URL can also be set on one or many keywords at once.
3. Add competitors, up to 20 a project; SE Ranking suggests 3 to 5.
4. Repeat for the next site. Each project keeps its own engines, locations and competitors.

Local rankings are checked weekly by default, and local map grid tracking uses its own allowance, not the keyword limit. Deleting a search engine or region erases its ranking history for good, with no way to recover it.

Report each site separately

SE Ranking's Report Builder makes a report for one project at a time and can send it daily, weekly or monthly to up to 5 recipient addresses. Core allows 10 Report Builder reports and Growth 30. Growth also adds guest links, a live view-only link to one project that uses no seat.

Which plan fits how many sites

SE Ranking Core tracks 10 projects with a shared pool of 2,000 keyword and search engine pairs checked every day, for $129 a month billed monthly or $103.20 a month billed annually, as read on 7 October 2026 on SE Ranking's FAQ page and in the 5 October 2026 capture of its US pricing page; the best rank tracker page sets it beside other tools.

Growth tracks 30 projects with 5,000 pairs a day, at $279 a month billed monthly or $223.20 a month billed annually, and Enterprise is custom through sales.
